Tongue Tie Therapy for Infants
Dr. Hope offers bodywork sessions to infants and children to relieve excess body tension affecting feeding, motor development, and airway function.
Dr. Hope provides physical therapy services to infants with tethered oral tissues (tongue/lip ties). Therapy can be done before and after a tongue and lip tie release.
This therapy focuses on releasing tension and fascial strain within the body via bodywork. Dr. Hope’s way of providing bodywork is through manual therapy. Her manual therapy treatment is done through gentle positional releases and craniosacral fascial therapy (CFT) to gain mobility of the body and oral structures with the goal to foster ideal motor development and to feed safely and efficiently on the breast and/or bottle.
Dr. Hope is a certified breastfeeding specialist which allows her to evaluate and provide treatment for infants struggling with breastfeeding. She uses a whole-body approach to addressing infant feeding.
